Vineyard and terroir
The Sangiovese grows in Emilia-Romagna, a fertile region in northern Italy. The vineyards have a cool, dry microclimate influenced by air currents from the Adriatic coast. Soils vary across the region; near the coast, well-drained sandy soils with little clay predominate.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness and vinified traditionally in temperature-controlled steel vats.
Tasting profile
Fruit-forward and well balanced.
Serving and pairing
Pair with meat dishes, pasta, grilled red meat or aged cheeses.
