Vineyard and terroir
The Barbera fruit comes from vineyards in Piedmont, a region at the foot of the Western Alps. The mountains surround the region to the north and west, forming its natural border with Provence.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness. The wine is made by a traditional red-wine method, with fermentation stopped when the desired residual-sugar level is reached.
