Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie in Serralunga d’Alba, on middle and upper hillside sites at 300–350 metres. They face southeast and southwest and are rooted in soils rich in clay and calcareous marl.
Grapes
100% Dolcetto.
Vinification
Traditional fermentation lasts 8–10 days in stainless-steel vats at a controlled temperature of 25°C. Malolactic fermentation takes place in concrete tanks and is completed before the end of November.
Ageing
The wine spends two months in medium and large oak barrels ranging from 20 to 140 hl. It is bottled and given a further six months of maturation before release.

Alcohol: 13% vol. Average production: 49 hl/ha. Available format: 0.75 L.
Tasting profile
Deep ruby red with violet highlights. The fine, persistent fruit-driven bouquet evokes violet, blueberry, black cherry and rosemary. The palate is pleasantly dry and full, with soft tannins and an appealing almond-toned finish.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 16°C with hot starters, pasta, simply prepared meat dishes, and fresh or medium-aged cheeses.
