Vineyard and terroir
The Trebbiano grapes are grown in Piedmont. Morando’s vineyards occupy hills in the provinces of Asti, Cuneo and Alessandria.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, sorted and gently pressed. Temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks for 15 days. The young wine is then racked off the lees and filtered before secondary fermentation in pressurized autoclaves. The wine is presented as being made by the classic method.
Ageing
A short period of bottle ageing precedes release.
Label / history
Morando was founded in the late nineteenth century and is committed to preserving Piedmont’s winemaking traditions.
