The fruit comes from the hills of the Langhe.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place at a controlled 25–28 °C, with regular pumping over of the must. The wine is then clarified and filtered.
Ageing
The wine matures in oak barrels for at least 18 months.
Label / history
Morando was founded in the late nineteenth century to preserve Piedmontese winemaking traditions. Its vineyards occupy hilly sites in the provinces of Asti, Cuneo and Alessandria. The producer makes DOCG, DOC and IGT still and sparkling wines and wine-based drinks, packaged in bottles and boxes. Annual production exceeds 40 million units, and 18% of its products are exported alongside its large-scale retail business in Italy.
