The base wines are made from white grapes grown in Piedmont.
Vinification
The wine is combined with alcohol, a small amount of sugar syrup, and an infusion of aromatic herbs and spices. The finished vermouth contains 2.5 g of sugar per 100 ml.

Label / history
It is made according to a recipe dating from 1922 and is named after the Renaissance painter Cesare da Sesto, a pupil of Leonardo da Vinci.
