Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The Muscat and other grape varieties are grown in Piedmont.
Vinification
The base wine is blended with extracts of more than twenty aromatic herbs and spices sourced from around the world, together with an infusion of bitter-orange peel and caramelized sugar. The botanicals include wormwood, gentian, rhubarb, cinnamon, cinchona, vanilla, myrrh, summer savory and mint; they are macerated in alcohol for more than one month. The bitter oranges are picked while green and peeled, then the peel is infused in alcohol for about one month to extract its essential oils.
Ageing
After blending, the vermouth rests in vats for at least four months.
