Vineyard and terroir
The four varieties come from four different regions. Primitivo is grown in vineyards in Puglia, Nero d'Avola in Sicily, Montepulciano in Abruzzo and Merlot in Veneto.
Grapes
The wine is a blend of four varieties used in equal proportions. Only partially dried Primitivo grapes are selected for the blend.
Vinification
The Primitivo is harvested in late November. The Montepulciano is vinified and then aged in oak barrels.
Ageing
The Montepulciano component is aged in oak barrels for at least 12 months.
Tasting profile
The blend combines the flavours and aromas of each variety and is remarkably harmonious, while the individual character of each variety still comes through.
