Il Brindisi del 1111: winery, history, culture and art
The 80-metre exterior mural Il Brindisi del 1111 was inaugurated on 11 September as the Corteo Matildico began. Created by Simone Ferrarini of Collettivo FX, it recalls the episode in which Enrico V invested Matilde di Canossa as Imperial Vicar of Italy and the two entered the Castello di Bianello to toast their restored peace.
The artistic investment renewed the production building while serving as a manifesto for the historical and agricultural richness of the area. Matilde and Enrico V are paired symbolically with Spergola and Lambrusco. The exterior mural followed a separate artistic intervention inside the production space.
