Vinitaly 2023: four intense days of meetings, tastings and new discoveries

Vinitaly 2023 drew 93,000 visitors and 4,000 exhibitors from more than 30 countries. The cooperative met longstanding customers as well as new importers and enthusiasts, while thanking those working to promote local grapes and the area’s wine culture.

The report reiterates the priority given to high-quality fruit selected under the oenologist’s supervision rather than grape volume. It also records the selection of the pure Lambrusco Montericco rosé Rosa Matilde for two Vinitaly masterclasses. Lambrusco Montericco is presented as an exceptionally local grape, historically cultivated between Broletto and Montericco in Albinea since the nineteenth century.
