Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in Emilia-Romagna, in northern Italy. The vineyards lie on hillsides, which lets growers manage the vines carefully, and the warm sun helps the grapes develop their natural sugars. The conditions suit semi-sweet wines.
Tasting profile
Light and easy-drinking, the wine reflects both its terroir and the character of the Malvasia grape.

Label / history
"daVinchi" is a range of light, easy-drinking wines named after da Vinci, the Renaissance sculptor and artist. Each wine is meant to carry a sense of mystery waiting to be discovered, and the labels show an image of the famous sculpture.
Cantina Puianello was founded in 1938 by five winemaking families who joined forces to produce classic Emilia-Romagna wines. Other members joined the cooperative over time, and its vineyards grew to 300 ha, 80% of them on mountain slopes. Most of the Emilia wine region lies on the plains of the Po River Valley, but some of its vineyards are in the Apennine foothills near the border with Tuscany. In 2005 the cooperative merged with Coviolo and had 398 members and 436 hectares of vineyards. In 2012 it carried out a major renovation of the winery and upgraded its equipment. The company has repeatedly won prizes at Vinitaly for many of its Lambrusco wines.
