Tasting profile
The 2001 combined fruit, cocoa and vanilla with a very long, refined finish. The 2000 showed a velvety bouquet, fine tannins and a compelling fruit structure. The 2013 offered dried fruit, mushroom and rose aromas, a full body, soft velvety tannins and a long, flavourful finish.
Vintage notes
No 2002 vintage was produced. The 2000 received 15.5/20 from I Vini d’Italia l’Espresso, while the 2001 received 17/20. James Suckling awarded the 2013 vintage 91/100 and recommended allowing additional time for its tannins to become rounder.
