Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is grown in foothill vineyards facing the Maremma Natural Park.
Vinification
Harvest timing varies by grape variety, running from early September to the first week of October. The grapes are picked by hand into small 13–15 kg crates. The berries undergo a long maceration to maximize extraction and stabilize the wine’s colour.
Ageing
The wine rests in oak barrels for 12–14 months, followed by at least six months in bottle.
