Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from one of South Tyrol’s oldest vineyards, on the southeastern slopes of the Mendel mountain range. The vines are trained using the Guyot system and average 15 years of age, with a yield of 60 hectolitres per hectare and a planting density of 1,700 vines per hectare.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures in large oak barrels for 18 months.
