Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the winery’s vineyards in the hills of Fumane, in the heart of Valpolicella Classico, at 500–600 metres above sea level. The high-altitude climate and local soils shape the wine’s taste and aroma.
Grapes
Selected Corvina and Rondinella are blended with 5–6% Merlot.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand and carefully sorted. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine ages in large wooden barrels.
Tasting profile
Elegant and easy-drinking, with a fresh palate and a rich, fruity aroma.
Vintage notes
In Veneto in 2021, average yields were 7% lower than in the previous year. The growing season began slightly later, and frosts affected some sites during budding on 7 and 8 April. Flowering and fruit set took place amid generally low temperatures and heavy rainfall. From June onward, temperatures matched seasonal averages and peaked during the first ten days of August. Heavy rain and hail caused significant crop losses in some places, although the grapes remained healthy and of good quality.
Label / history
While working with his father, Stefano, under the Stefano Accordini name, Tiziano created Corte Alta as his own brand and as an expression of his years of winemaking experience.
