Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the Cygnus vineyard, beside an artificial lake where swans settled long ago.
Vinification
Maceration and fermentation take place together in neutral vessels for 14 days at 28 °C. Malolactic fermentation begins immediately after alcoholic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine matures for 14 months in French oak barriques from Allier and Tronçais, of which 30% are new, followed by four months in bottle.

Label / history
Cygnus was conceived as an experimental blend. According to the estate, Wagner admired the swans beside the vineyard during a visit, inspiring the name shared by the vineyard and wine. “Cygnus” means “swan” in Italian.
