Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from Poggetti at Massa Marittima. The vineyard has a south-western exposure and rich, slightly acidic clay soil. Yield is 12,000 kg/ha. The Poggetti Estate lies among hills in the northern Tuscan Maremma, approximately 7 km from the Tyrrhenian Sea. Its vines benefit from hot weather, extended sunlight and cool evenings; the nearby coast contributes salinity and minerality.
Grapes
60% Trebbiano and 40% Ansonica.
Vinification
Harvest takes place during the first and second weeks of September. The must undergoes static cold clarification, followed by fermentation at 18°C for more than two weeks.
Ageing
Before bottling, the wine remains on its lees for approximately 10 days.
Tasting profile
Straw white in colour. The complex bouquet offers white peach, apricot, white flowers and acacia. The palate combines ripe fruit with high acidity and good structure, creating an approachable, easy-drinking style.
Serving and pairing
