Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie in Cortaccia and Penone at elevations of 200–800 metres, on moraine soils containing chalk deposits. The oldest vines were planted in 1977.
Grapes
The additional varieties in the blend are Burgundian grapes.
Vinification
After harvest, the grapes are sorted and pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 20 °C.
Ageing
The wine rests on its lees in concrete vats for four months before bottling.
Tasting profile
Elegant and well balanced.
Label / history
The 2017 vintage was released in a limited production of 8,000 bottles.
