Vineyard and terroir
The Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grow in vineyards in the Veneto region.
Vinification
The grapes are picked at optimal ripeness and carefully sorted. After destemming they undergo skin maceration, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature. Before bottling the wine is decanted and filtered.
Serving and pairing
Suited to red meat, roasts, grilled meats, sausages, dishes with sauces and aged cheeses.
Vintage notes
In 2021 the average yield in Veneto was 7% lower than in the previous year. Frosts hit at budbreak on 7 and 8 April, and heavy rain and hail came while the grapes were ripening. Flowering and fruit set brought low temperatures and plenty of rain. From June onward temperatures returned to seasonal averages. The grapes remained healthy and of good quality.
