Questo vino

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from organic vineyards in Salento, in the province of Taranto.

Vinification

The grapes are pressed gently and fermented at a controlled temperature of 14 °C.

Ageing

The wine ages in steel tanks, which preserve the purity of each variety's character and the wine's freshness.

Tasting profile

Elegant and authentic, with a delicate, appealing aroma of fruit and flowers. The palate is fresh, refined and persistent, with well-balanced acidity and a long, pleasant finish.

Serving and pairing

Suited to Italian dishes, especially pasta, and to white meat and fresh cheeses.

Label / history

"12 e Mezzo" means "Twelve and a Half". The collection reflects Varvaglione's philosophy of growing traditional local Apulian grape varieties and turning them into wines with modern winemaking methods. The range has 8 wines, all at 12.5% alcohol.
