Origins

Varvaglione Vigne e Vini is a family company founded in 1921 in the province of Taranto, in Salento, the area forming the heel of the Italian boot. Its wines were originally sold only in bulk.

Cosimo Varvaglione's arrival

Cosimo Varvaglione, who follows his father and grandfather in winemaking and has been involved in it since an early age, now runs the winery and is its winemaker. His arrival marked a turning point for the company. Vigne e Vini has since become a well-known brand, sold in Italy and in more than 36 countries.

2011 onward

In 2011 the company celebrated its 90th anniversary and began producing its "Papale" wines. The wines have received many awards at international competitions and tastings.
