Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown on clay-limestone soils in the province of Taranto, Puglia.
Vinification
Fermentation and maceration take place under controlled temperatures of 24–28 °C.
Ageing
The wine matures in French oak barrels for 3–6 months.

A fresh, youthful wine with a distinctive wild-berry character on both the nose and palate.
Label / history
The relatively young "12 e Mezzo" range was developed by Vigne e Vini following research and tastings. Its name means “twelve and a half” in Italian and refers directly to the wines’ alcohol level. The range comprises four wines: Malvasia del Salento, Rosato, Primitivo and Negroamaro.
