The Negroamaro grapes are grown in Salento, in the province of Taranto.
Vinification
Maceration takes place at a controlled temperature of 24–28 °C, followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine rests for at least 3–6 months in French oak barrels.

A rich red with an inviting berry aroma. The palate is velvety, beautifully balanced and lingering.

"12 e Mezzo" ("Twelve and a Half") is a collection reflecting Varvaglione's philosophy: growing traditional local grape varieties from Puglia and turning them into wine with modern winemaking methods. The range includes 8 different wines, all at 12.5% alcohol.
