Vineyard and terroir
The Sangiovese grows at approximately 400 m above sea level on Galestro soil. The vines are trained to spur-pruned cordon.
Grapes
100% Sangiovese.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks with temperature control, followed by 30–40 days of skin maceration.
Ageing
The wine matures for approximately 48 months in Slavonian oak casks averaging about 30 hl, followed by at least six months in bottle.
Vintage notes
The 2015 vintage received 94 points from James Suckling. Its profile combines black cherry, floral and lavender aromas with a full body, polished yet firm tannins and a focused, linear finish. The published drinking recommendation was to try it after 2022.
