Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The wine comes from six hectares cultivated by Selvapiana at Villa di Petrognano. The estate lies at the foot of the Apennines, on the boundary between Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna. Pomino is one of Tuscany’s smallest historic denominations.
Label / history
The Villa di Petrognano project grew from the friendship between the property’s owner, Countess Cecilia Galeotti Ottieri, and Francesco Giuntini. Pomino’s historical standing dates to 1716, when Grand Duke Cosimo III de’ Medici included it—alongside Classico, Carmignano and Valdarno Superiore—among four protected Tuscan wine-production areas.
