Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is grown in Portacomaro d’Asti. The estate comprises 180 ha, including 158 ha of vineyards in the Monferrato Asti area. The valley of the Temp River forms a natural amphitheatre in front of the castle, and the land is now entirely devoted to grape growing.
Vinification
The grapes are gently pressed, and the must undergoes cryomaceration for 3–4 days. Once it reaches 3–4% alcohol, it is chilled before a second fermentation using the traditional Charmat method.
Tasting profile
The wine has an elegant aroma and a pleasant flavour that is not excessively sweet.
