Seresin Chiaroscuro 2024 earns 93 points from The Real Review
The Marlborough white blend, a co-fermentation of 4 grape varieties, was selected as The Real Review’s New Zealand Buy of the Week on 27 October 2026.
The Real Review awarded Seresin Chiaroscuro 2024 from Marlborough 93 points and 4 stars. Priced at NZD 26, it was presented as the publication’s New Zealand Buy of the Week on 27 October 2026, with its value highlighted in the assessment.1
The 2024 blend brings pinot gris, riesling, viognier and gewürztraminer together in a single co-fermentation. Its composition can vary by vintage, and the wine also changes during its early development in bottle. The review found a measured relationship among dryness, acidity, phenolic structure and texture, giving it enough flexibility to accompany a broad range of dishes.1
The aromatic profile moves from wet stone and sarsaparilla through finger lime and ambarella to rose petals and apricot blossom. On the dry palate, a taut acidic line meets granular phenolic texture, while succulent fruit and spice with a savoury character provide the surrounding layers. A mild sense of grip remains at the close.1
The wine was sealed with a screwcap and listed at 13.0% alcohol, with a drinking window from now through 2029. The suggested pairing was a mezze platter, and Seresin Wines was named as the stockist.1
