Texas Vineyard Tracker launches interactive 3D vineyard map

The service maps hundreds of Texas vineyards covering more than 6,500 acres, with vineyard boundaries, acreage and operating status supported by imagery, public sources and field research.

Texas Vineyard Tracker has launched an interactive 3D map showing vineyard outlines, locations, listed acreage and current status across Texas. The service’s announcement, published on October 27, 2026, says the map currently covers hundreds of vineyards and more than 6,500 mapped acres.1

The company says each site was outlined using aerial and satellite imagery, then checked against public sources and field research. It reports spending more than 1,500 hours on verification and mapping. Each vineyard is assigned 1 of 4 statuses: Active, At Risk/Severe Concerns, Dead/Inactive or In Development.1

Texas Vineyard Tracker says the map is updated regularly. After each update, members can see a “What’s New” summary covering newly added sites as well as changes to status and acreage. The company says it mapped each location manually to provide a current alternative to older, unverified self-reported surveys and websites that depend on producer submissions without verification or updates.1

The map is intended for winemakers seeking fruit, vineyard service and equipment businesses, nurseries, suppliers and researchers. Members can search by vineyard name, filter sites by status, navigate to a location in 3D and compare current imagery with historical base layers.1

Visitors can view approximate vineyard areas without registering, while a free preview provides full details for 5 vineyards. Introductory access costs $295 for the 1st year and is limited to the initial 50 members through November 15, 2026, or until all places are taken. The regular price is $495.1

Statewide expansion

A statewide expansion is being rolled out. Texas Vineyard Tracker says members whose plans are active when that expansion launches will gain access without an additional charge. The service is based in Lubbock, Texas, and describes its focus as independently verified vineyard outlines, status and acreage.1
