The cellar farms 7.5 ha in Valle Isarco and 21 ha in Oltradige and collaborates with 60 local growers. Production in 2024 approached one million bottles, divided 80% white and 20% red. Lukas Ploner took charge from the 2024 harvest after Celestino Lucin’s approximately three decades at the centre of the estate’s quality development. Climate change is driving new cultivation strategies, while environmental certification is being pursued for continued access to northern European and North American markets. The wider abbey economy also incorporates apples, forests, hospitality, tourism, education and culture, with the individual activities managed autonomously but contributing to a common financial structure.
