About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Carricante fruit grows at around 800 metres above sea level on Etna’s high-altitude slopes. The porous soils consist of black lava and volcanic ash, in which the grapes ripen slowly while developing acidity and minerality.

Vinification

Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks. A portion of the wine receives a brief cold maceration, adding body, complexity and a smooth, enveloping texture.

Ageing

The wine is aged in bottle, allowing it to soften and settle while beginning to develop a refined bouquet.

Tasting profile

Volcanic power and northern elegance are joined by a rich yet silky texture. The style is cool and serious, with clean, bright flavours, mountain freshness, citrus notes, mineral structure and a salty finish. The wine is expressive, complex and balanced.
