At COS, the Future of Wine Comes from the Past

Giambattista “Titta” Cilia, Giusto Occhipinti and Cirino “Rino” Strano began making wine together in 1980 while they were university students. The Cilia family’s old cellar and several hectares of alberello vines gave the project its physical base, and the three became Italy’s youngest wine producers. Giusto Occhipinti describes their purpose as recreating the kind of wine made by their ancestors. Even the distinctive bottle form was selected as a revival of a design formerly used in Sicily.
