Albino Armani’s mountain sparkling wines: identity, altitude and environmental respect

The 58th Vinitaly hosted the presentation of Trento DOC Clé Dosaggio Zero 2021 and Clé Riserva 2019. The releases were framed within a broader commitment to high-elevation sparkling wine across the Triveneto.

On the Brentonico plateau at the foot of Monte Baldo, Pergola Trentina-trained vineyards rise beyond 800 m on lean, skeletal soils rich in basalt. Chardonnay and Pinot Nero are grown in this mountain setting. Both wines are made without an added dosage; the Riserva rests on its lees for 60 months.

The project treats altitude, patience and minimal mediation as tools for preserving the identity of the mountain environment, with the long maturation of the Riserva intended to extend complexity and ageing potential.
