100 points from Decanter for Fieramonte

Decanter awarded 100 points to the 2015 Fieramonte Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva, then the first Amarone to receive the score. The family dedicated the achievement to Franco Allegrini, who had died earlier that year and had led the vineyard’s revival.

The announcement identified two pivotal dates for Fieramonte: 1960, the first single-vineyard vintage, and 2011, when production resumed after complete renewal, replanting and a period allowing the vines to mature. Fieramonte and La Poja were also preparing for their 29 September debut on La Place de Bordeaux.
