About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from vineyards at Tenuta di Nozzole in Greve in Chianti, 30 km south of Florence in the Chianti Classico area. The vineyards lie at 330–370 m above sea level.
Vinification
For the 2015 vintage, alcoholic fermentation and a 22-day maceration took place in stainless-steel tanks at 28 °C. Malolactic fermentation followed.
Ageing
The 2015 wine rested for two months in stainless-steel tanks, then for 16–18 months in 225-litre French oak barriques and at least six months in bottle.
Label / history
Il Pareto is made only in small quantities and only in exceptionally favourable years. The 2015 release comprised 14,000 bottles.
