2018 harvest

The rainy winter restored water after several hot, dry years. Limestone beneath the sand retained moisture and released it during vegetative growth, producing vigorous vines. Summer humidity increased powdery-mildew risk, so the bunch zone was opened for ventilation. An unexpected August rain then required two or three cleaning passes in some vineyards. Approximately 15–20% of the crop was lost across the parcels, but the remaining fruit retained good acidity and produced comparatively light-coloured, elegant wines.
