Amarone Academy 2024

The 2024 Amarone Academy ran from 16 to 19 September. Following a welcome dinner, participants visited the Ognissanti church at Tenuta Novare for an Amarone masterclass and detailed tasting. A tour of the estate and historic drying loft introduced the messa a riposo of Amarone grapes, followed by a vineyard picnic and practical participation in harvest work.

The third day included two masterclasses on the history and future of Italian wine, then continued at the historic Grezzana winery among its large maturation barrels. The Library programme presented a vertical tasting of historic Amarone vintages before a gala dinner in the renovated hospitality rooms. The final day offered visits to Lake Garda or Verona.
