Villero & Barolo – A story of pure vocation

Villero first appeared in Vignolo Lutati’s 1927 classifications and became one of Castiglione Falletto’s best-known MGAs. The broader cru covers more than 15 ha of south- and southwest-facing ground particularly suited to Nebbiolo.

Its very low-permeability soil retains substantial water, helping grapes maintain quality in dry seasons. The site is associated with structured, long-lived wines. Boroli is one of nine proprietors within the MGA and vinifies its holding separately.
