The history of Villa Rosina and Bottega

Villa Rosina is the Bibano headquarters of Bottega and commemorates Rosina Zambon, who founded the business with Aldo Bottega. Their children Barbara, Sandro and Stefano chose the name in recognition of her contribution to the family company.

The restored farmhouse stands on level ground in the Prosecco DOC area, surrounded by ten hectares of organically cultivated Glera. From the estate it is possible to see the nearby Venetian Prealps and the more distant Alpine relief.

A wrought-iron gate opens onto a rose-dominated garden. The central gravelled area links the villa to the barchessa containing the distillery. The grounds include an English-style lawn, reed beds, oaks, willows, olive trees, chestnuts, walnuts and mulberries. An arch of roses leads from the garden into the vineyards.

The restoration preserved the original architecture while combining exposed stone and wood with steel and glass. Inside, the Sala Larin recalls the traditional hearth around which rural Veneto families once gathered after working in the fields. Its central cedar table seats as many as 30 people for tasting events. Villa Rosina also contains the prototype Prosecco Bar, pairing Bottega wines with informal food, and serves as the starting point for visits through the vineyards and production areas.
