First Amarone della Valpolicella’s Vermouth launch
Michele Tessari’s long-standing interest in Vermouth led to years of empirical trials aimed at creating a distinct expression built around local wine. Amarone della Valpolicella was selected as the base, making the project the estate’s interpretation of an Amarone-based Vermouth.
Oenologist and master herbalist Piero Cane joined the development work. Numerous experiments resulted in a recipe containing 46 botanicals. Annalisa Bollini, the embroiderer responsible for the Rugate-house artwork used on the labels, created the artistic element, which was also adapted to the cylindrical presentation package. The project integrated botanical trials, selection of Amarone and visual design into a single release intended for aperitif, after-dinner and contemplative service.
