The female side of Ca’ Rugate, portrayed by a woman

Artist Michela Bogoni was commissioned to interpret the women’s role in the Tessari family. Her work portrayed Rina, wife of Fulvio “Beo”; Carla, wife of Amedeo; Laura, Michele’s sister; and Samanta, Michele’s wife.

The four women described growing up with the cellar beneath the family home and learning sacrifice, awareness and constructive ambition as part of everyday life. The portrait presented their dedication, humility and determination as a line of continuity within the family.
