About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The wine comes from selected vines in Tremenalto, north of Monteforte d’Alpone. The soils are predominantly basaltic, and yields are 90–100 quintals per hectare. Harvesting takes place by hand during the first ten days of September.
Grapes
100% Trebbiano di Soave.
Vinification
Vinification and fermentation take place in stainless steel, followed by blending.
Ageing
Half of the resulting wine matures for approximately nine months in 680-litre F. Frères wooden barrels.
Technical data
Bianco Veneto IGT. Alcohol is approximately 13%. Production is limited to 460 bottles, with 750 ml and 1,500 ml formats listed.
Tasting profile
Intense straw yellow. Potpourri and green tea lead the bouquet, accompanied by light notes of white-fleshed fruit and flint. The palate is enveloping and dense without heaviness, retaining aromatic freshness before a richly savoury and exceptionally persistent finish.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 10–12°C. Suggested pairings include shellfish, white meat, fish and pasta with light sauces; it may also be enjoyed as a contemplative wine outside a meal.
Label / history
Episode 7 is conceived as the laboratory or backstage expression of Studio di Turbiàn: a small bottling that embodies the experiments, trials and challenges behind the principal wine. Experimental companion bottlings began with the 2013 vintage, presenting a deliberately less polished reflection of the same research programme.
