The 250th harvest gets underway

The hot, dry 2022 summer caused thermal and water stress in parts of northern Italy, but August rainfall and appropriate vineyard management supported grape health. At Canevel, Chardonnay harvesting began during the final ten days of August. Glera was due to follow in early September. The fruit was healthy, ripening regularly and showing good increases in sugar concentration.
