Label / history
Cantina Produttori Cormons was founded in 1962 by eleven winegrowers and winemakers from northeastern Italy. They established comprehensive production rules intended to maintain wine quality independently of changing fashions. In 1969, the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene area received official recognition and DOC status.
The consortium is now a private organization serving the public interest and includes most of the region’s producers across all categories. It oversees production from vine planting through winemaking, collaborates with research institutes, and introduces new methods intended to improve quality while complying with environmental regulations.
