About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The vineyards are organically farmed on the hills of the Chianti Classico area, in the commune of Radda, province of Siena. They lie at 450 m above sea level on soils with abundant underground water.

Grapes

The 2009 vintage used Sangiovese grown from new clones.

Vinification

Fermentation starts spontaneously with natural yeasts and lasts about 12 days. The wine is bottled without filtration.

Ageing

The wine matures in oak barrels for at least two years, developing greater richness and depth.

Tasting profile

Traditional rustic character is combined with a modern style. The wine is lively, delicate and elegant, with a generous fruit-led bouquet, hints of spice and good acidity.
