About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vines grow in stony soil at a density of 6,000 plants per hectare and are trained to cordone speronato. Merlot is harvested at the end of September, followed by Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon in mid-October.
Grapes
40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 25% Sangiovese.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in 4,500-litre oak tanks, followed by at least six months in bottle.
