Casisano grows in export markets and wine tourism

Casisano closed 2022 with production of 115,000 bottles: approximately 45,000 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, 4,000 Colombaiolo Brunello Riserva DOCG and 65,000 Rosso di Montalcino DOC. The estate recorded a 10% increase in value eight years after its acquisition.

Italy grew by approximately 5%. The principal foreign markets were the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, followed by Switzerland. Casisano was distributed in 30 of the 80 markets served by Tommasi. Further development was planned in South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan, where interest in the estate’s current releases and library vintages was increasing.

In 2023 Casisano also opened for visits and tastings. Its location near the Abbey of Sant’Antimo and routes associated with the Via Francigena places the estate within a broader itinerary encompassing Montalcino, San Quirico d’Orcia, Pienza, Siena and Val d’Orcia.
