#CasisanoTales: 36 stories about Montalcino

#CasisanoTales was conceived as a 36-part virtual journey through Montalcino. The project linked Casisano’s arrival in 2015 with the area’s historical and modern identity.

Its subjects included the Abbey of Sant’Antimo, medieval Montalcino, vineyard life, pilgrimage, literature, cinema, sport, art, resistance, freedom, biodiversity and quality agriculture. Writers and filmmakers associated with Montalcino—including Carducci, Hemingway, Zeffirelli, Monicelli and Fellini—formed part of this wider cultural narrative. The series positioned Casisano’s developing family history within the older fabric of the territory.
