OBIETTIVO TRICOLORE – LA GRANDE STAFFETTA 2026

The sixth Obiettivo Tricolore was scheduled from 20 September to 8 October 2026. Conceived by Alex Zanardi after the 2020 lockdown, the relay brings together 60 Paralympic athletes over 1,900 km and 22 stages to promote social inclusion through sport and preserve Zanardi’s legacy.

The relay was due to depart officially on 21 September. Its Tuscan itinerary included Poppi, Siena and Montalcino, with the Montalcino stage planned for 23 September. Public sports villages along the route offered opportunities to encounter athletes, associations and Paralympic disciplines; the Montalcino village was based at the Fortezza di Montalcino. Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona participated among the supporting companies, foundations, institutions and associations.
