At Col Vetoraz, respect for the land also means sustainability

Col Vetoraz preserves 25 ha of its property as woodland. At an estimated absorption rate of 30 tonnes of CO₂ per hectare per year, the forest removes about 750 tonnes annually, comparable to the average emissions attributed to 125 Italian residents. The company’s production chain employs 25 people, making the estimated absorption five times the emissions associated with a group of that size. The initiative forms part of an environmental approach linking vineyard, production and stewardship of the Valdobbiadene landscape.
