About this wine
Grapes
Made mainly from five Sangiovese clones belonging to Colle Santa Mustiola’s historic heritage and recovered after the phylloxera epidemic.
Vinification
The clones’ long growing cycle leads to a relatively late harvest in early October. The wine is then fermented.
Ageing
More than 24 months in large oak barrels, followed by 12 months in bottle. The large vessels allow the oak to frame the ripe fruit flavours without dominating the palate.
Tasting profile
Ripe fruit flavours framed by gentle oak notes.

The label carries an accurate depiction of the «Flavia» vineyard.
